Arabic Seeds News, third trimester of 2024 - Little Muslim Corner

Assalamu 3alaykum/Ahlan! What's new in the Arabic Seeds Membership?

During the 3rd trimester of 2024, alhamdulillAh we launched a new library layout with new features like filters and starring (favoriting) resources! We also added printable Arabic Reading Puzzles to the units "Polar Animals in Arabic" and "Construction Site in Arabic".

Lastly, we started adding something new and exciting for muslim educators and learners in the form of small "Little muslim corners" posts connecting key words of the units to islamic references (Quranic verses and ahadeeth from the Sunnah)! We hope this will help muslim children and families to have a more meaningful and in-depth learning, as this has always been our goal, in shaa Allah!

1) New library layout and features

2) New Reading Puzzles inside the Polar Animals and Construction Site UNITS

•  The "Polar Animals" Arabic unit is based on a story featuring our Arabic-speaking kittens, Bannoon & Nashoot, going on an adventure to the North Pole (Arctic) to learn how animals survive in the extreme cold. The unit includes the printable story and its read-aloud video, flashcards, words worksheets and crosswords, and a penguin movements rhyme. (More to come in shaa Allah!)

• The "Construction Site" themed Arabic unit is around the engaging topic of construction sites (machines, people who work on the site, construction materials, places being built, action verbs!). The unit includes a printable book and its read-aloud video, flashcards, words worksheets and crosswords, a practical vocabulary/sentences sheet to talk in Arabic while playing construction, and a Quranic reference.

3) Little Muslim Corner posts 

So far we have added these posts to the following units: Birds unit, Fruit Salad unit, Fall's Treasures unit, Under the Sea unit, Construction Site unit.

Here is the example of the Little Muslim Corner post inside the "Under the sea" unit:

"Bismillah! Let's apply what have been learned in the unit to an example from the Qur'An!

• Ask your learners to find the words for "pearls" and "coral" in Surah Ar-Rahman in Arabic. 

• Make them read or listen to this verse: https://quran.com/55?startingVerse=22
• Additionally, make them reflect on the bounties that Allah has given us through the seas (soft and halal seafood meat, transportation means, pearls) via the following verse  https://quran.com/16?startingVerse=14. Let's be grateful for that!"
